Sometimes, no matter how well you plan, some aspects of your wedding day are beyond your control. In March 2011 I had the pleasure of tying the knot of Mr and Mrs James at Burleigh Heads. The couple had planned an outdoor ceremony by the ocean with views back to Surfers Paradise – the perfect backdrop for a cheeky, intimate ceremony if only the wind and drizzling rain would stop long enough to enjoy it! It was an anxious wait but the determined couple stuck to their guns and The Wedlock Smith managed to get them hitched during a very quick break in the weather. The rain did little to dampen the spirits of the Kiwi and Aussie family and friends, however, who efficiently emptied several eskies or chilli-bins and “took shelter” in the photo booth at the Point Break Restaurant reception.

Testimonial from Mr & Mrs James
“We wanted to say thank you once again for making our wedding day so perfect. Your relaxed and laid back personality was perfect for our beachside wedding. Many of our guests commented how lovely you were and what a great job you did.
In addition to the fantastic job you did on the day, dealing with you in the lead up was a pleasure and your suggestions were so helpful. We were so glad that you were able to celebrate with us at the reception afterwards. Your follow up card and gift the next day was such a lovely surprise and a testament to your caring nature.
We’ve enclosed a couple of photos. Your dress matched in perfectly with our colour scheme, thank you for taking this into consideration and checking with us prior. Something that I hadn’t thought of!
All the best, Mr & Mrs James”
