She promised, “To cook and clean for you”. He promised, “To tell you how good you look when you cook and clean”. And such is the amusing and enviable relationship of two of my very best friends, Junior and Leah.
I had the pleasure of making them Mr & Mrs Vassiliou on a shimmering, silver-lined afternoon in beautiful Noosa. It was this shared sense of humour and laid back attitude that turned an otherwise grey, rainy Saturday into a romantic, laughter filled day for their family and friends. They just found some uber cute umbrellas and got on with the show!
Leah floated down the aisle on the arm of her proud father in a Darb Couture dress fit for a princess. A dress that filled her parents’ spare room for months and literally stopped traffic later that evening for their wedding photos. A dress that every little girl dreams she will wear when she marries the love of her life. Just as Leah did.
They say rain on your wedding day is either a bad sign of the tears the bride will cry during the marriage or a sign of good luck and fertility. For this couple I can happily say the signs are all good, as they recently welcomed their deliciously chubby son, Austin, into the world. Yes, this shows that it takes me a while to get blogging, but it also shows that those who always look for silver-linings will find their happily ever after.
