On a breezy afternoon in March I married my good friend, Andrea, and her beau, Bradley,on the lush green lawns of Riverside Receptions on Merthyr Road in New Farm.
As was tradition for the women in her family, the bride was “piped” down the aisle by Piper Joe McGhee to be married before friends and family overlooking the Brisbane River. Once the deal was sealed with a kiss, Piper Joe belted out a few more tunes on his scottish bagpipes to send the happy couple on their way to New Farm Park for photos.
As dusk turned to twilight the lawn was transformed into an outdoor lounge bar with white couches lit by romantic candles on the lawn and paper lanterns glowing in the big old tree overhead. It was a magical evening by the Brisbane River for Mr and Mrs Tink and their guests, who danced the night away beneath a glowing full moon.
